Tasty lunch, tiny flowers...

Mark and I are big fans of Top Chef, and more recently, Top Chef Masters.

One of the Master Top Chefs, Chef Art Smith, specializes in southern-style food and has a restaurant in DC.

So...

...we went there for lunch!

I would have taken pictures of the food, but since I inhaled it the second it hit the table, you'll have to settle for a picture of the restaurant.

At any rate, it was AMAZING.

After lunch, we made our way across the National Mall and went to explore the US Botanic Garden.

We stopped to take some touristy pictures along the way.

"I don't know...how do you think I should - HELICOPTER!"

"Ooooh...plant-y."

Mark was quite impressed by the do-it-yourself fish fountain.


I've been working a lot with my macro lens lately, trying to get comfortable with how to use it.

I think I finally figured it out.

It wasn't all work though...
I made sure to take time out to taste, er, smell the flowers.

Don't worry, I didn't really eat any.

I was still full from lunch.
