I've been looking forward to (or alternately dreading) today for a while...it was my very first violin recital! To say I was nervous about it would be a bit of an understatement; while I've been playing the clarinet in concerts for years (and still do), I've never played the violin in front of anyone! I took lessons for about a year back in middle school, but I've only really gotten back into it in the past year and have only been taking lessons again since last September.
It went really well! I played Adolf Huber's Concertino in G Major. I made it through the piece without making any big mistakes, and the pianist and I both reached the end at the same time, so that's always a plus. Now that the first recital is out of the way, the next one will be so much easier! :)
